Terms & Conditions — Cleaners

Last updated: April 2026

1. About Cleanpass

Cleanpass is a platform that connects self-employed cleaning professionals with clients in Brighton & Hove and surrounding areas. By joining Cleanpass, you are listed as an independent contractor — not an employee. You retain full control over your rates, schedule, and which bookings to accept.

2. Joining & Fees

Joining Cleanpass is free. There is no monthly subscription, no sign-up fee, and no commission on your earnings. Cleanpass generates revenue through a flat £4.99 booking fee paid by the client — you keep 100% of your rate.

3. Verification Requirements

To be listed on Cleanpass, you must complete the following:

  • Enhanced DBS check (we can guide you through this via our partner uCheck)
  • Government-issued photo ID verification (passport or driving licence)
  • Proof of right to work in the UK
  • Public liability insurance of at least £1M (we can help you arrange this via Protectivity)

Your profile will not be made public until all verification steps are complete and approved.

4. Bookings & Conduct

When you accept a booking, you agree to arrive on time, deliver the service as described, and conduct yourself professionally. Repeated no-shows, late cancellations, or client complaints may result in suspension or removal from the platform.

You may decline any booking without penalty. Cancellations should be made as early as possible so the client can rebook.

5. Payment

Clients pay securely through Cleanpass at the time of booking. Once the clean is completed and confirmed, your earnings are released. Payouts are processed weekly via bank transfer to the account you provide during onboarding.

You are responsible for your own tax affairs, including registering as self-employed with HMRC and filing your own tax returns.

6. Your Profile

You are responsible for keeping your profile accurate and up to date, including your services, rates, availability, and insurance details. Misleading or inaccurate information may result in profile suspension.

7. Insurance & Liability

You must maintain valid public liability insurance for the duration of your time on the platform. If your insurance expires, your profile will be paused until renewed. You are liable for any damage caused during a clean — your insurance should cover this.

8. Platform Rules

You must not solicit clients found through Cleanpass for private arrangements that bypass the platform. You must not share your login credentials, impersonate another person, or submit false documentation. Breach of these rules will result in immediate removal.

9. Leaving Cleanpass

You may deactivate your profile at any time from your dashboard. There are no lock-in contracts or notice periods. Any outstanding payments for completed work will still be processed as normal.

10. Privacy & Data

Your personal information, including DBS results and bank details, is stored securely and processed in accordance with UK GDPR. We collect only what is necessary to operate the platform and facilitate bookings. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify you via email of any significant changes.

If you have questions about these terms, contact us at hello@cleanpass.co.uk.
